Yoga & meditation

“When the truth is known ignorance can not be, when the mind is pure there is no disease, when the breath is mastered there is no death, therefore surrender to yoga”
-Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya

Look fear in the face and it will cease to trouble you.

-Sri Yukteswar

Yoga, is the Sanskrit word which means to come back into union, to return to the truth of nature. This is true path of yoga. Through the connection and understanding of ones body, mind and breath we are able to able to understand an return to our natural way of being. For when the mind, body and breath are one there can be no disturbance in the mind, no illness in the body and no confusion in the emotions for we are simply left in this present moment.

The ancient Rishi’s developed the science of yoga through various postures, breath exercises and ascetic practices within nature. This led to understanding the patterns of life internally and externally which thus led to a peaceful and nourishing life.

This wisdom has been passed down throughout time through various traditions and practices to allow all beings to lead this peaceful connected life. With modern science paving the beginning to quantify what the Rishi’s knew millennia before the West we are seeing this development of yoga leading the way in modern day wellness.

It is currently estimated that 2 Billion people in the world are practicing Yoga in one form or another. This may simply be the practice on a physical level or cultivating mindfulness, or simply connecting with nature in what is known as Forest Bathing. So let’s come together and find the perfect practice for you.

Pranayama (Breathing Exercises)

Our breath is our foundational tool within all yogic practices. Through learning to connect with our breath we can begin to harness peace within our mind, slow down our nervous system and become more receptive to nature.

Asana (Physical Postures)

The most known aspect of Yoga is asana or physical poses. Yet Asana is not about touching our toes or headstands, yet finding balance within as we move through all aspects of life. We use the postures to cleanse the nervous system, to open the inner flow for a healthy system to establish a deeper connection.

Meditation

The time to simply be and listen. Meditation takes many forms and simply means to be fully present with what is in this moment. Cultivating the tools of presence through mindful activities allows us to be more energized and engaged with all areas of life. Bringing mental, physical and emotional clarity.
